Salary: £41,000 per annum

Are you a Fire Alarm Engineer looking for a mobile role across multiple sites? As a Mobile Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, testing, fault-finding, and repair of fire alarm systems across several environments, ensuring compliance with BS5839 and HTM 05-03 standards. You will be working for a specialist facilities and compliance provider delivering essential life safety services.

Responsibilities :

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems and associated equipment across multiple sites
  • Assist with weekly fire alarm testing at the Rutherford site
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently
  • Conduct routine inspections and statutory system checks in line with site safety protocols
  • Provide technical support and system knowledge to estates teams and contractors
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and compliance documentation
  • Support upgrade projects, system modifications, and small works when required
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and industry best practice

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, ideally within large or complex sites such as hospitals, universities or commercial estates
  • Experience working on a wide range of fire alarm systems, including Advanced Electronics and Kentec (Gent advantageous – training provided)
  • FIA Level 3 (or equivalent) in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, advantageous (training available)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Sound knowledge of BS5839 and relevant fire safety standards
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience within healthcare or other critical environments is desirable
  • Additional manufacturer training or multi-system experience is beneficial
