Role: Fire Alarm Design Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Midlands (must be within 1.5 hours of the office)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire Alarm Design Engineer in the Midlands. We’re working with a respected Gent integrator, established for over 20 years, who are expanding their team due to continued growth and an internal promotion. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong designer to join a collaborative team working on complex life safety projects across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Design fire and security systems to meet all relevant industry standards
- Develop detailed designs from client requirements and specifications
- Produce accurate quotations and system layouts
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required
- Lead design input on larger projects and support Business Development Managers
- Collaborate with a team of 6 BDMs and 4 Design Engineers
- Embrace a hybrid working pattern (4 days home-based, 1 day in the Midlands office)
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Minimum 1 year of design experience in fire and security systems
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm system design and life safety requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred)
- Confident producing compliant system designs independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
