: Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer

£36,000 to £44,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and handing over fire alarm systems on a variety of commercial and industrial sites, ensuring compliance with BS5839 standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities :

Commission, test, and hand over fire alarm systems to the required standards.

Carry out cause-and-effect testing and system programming.

Complete commissioning documentation and certificates accurately.

Liaise with project managers, clients, and other engineers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Troubleshoot and rectify technical faults during installation and commissioning.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and health & safety policies.
Experience and Certifications Required:

Proven experience commissioning addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.

Experience with panels such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, or Gent (beneficial).

Excellent understanding of BS5839-1 standards.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
