Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum

Technical Resources are recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join a well-established fire and life safety solutions provider. This is a key position within the projects team, responsible for commissioning a variety of fire detection and alarm systems across commercial, residential, and public sector environments.

Responsibilities :

  • Commission a range of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with BS 5839.

  • Work with systems including Advanced, Kentec, Morley, C-TEC, and Notifier.

  • Carry out cause and effect testing, programming, and configuration.

  • Produce accurate commissioning reports, test sheets, and as-fitted documentation.

  • Liaise directly with project managers, installation engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams.

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience commissioning fire alarm systems.

  • Excellent technical understanding of Advanced, Kentec, and Morley panels (XP95 and Evolution protocols).

  • Strong working knowledge of BS 5839 Part 1 and general fire safety standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
