Job Title: Fibre Splicer
Location: South London
Rate: £220 p/day
Are you looking for a Fibre Splicer role working on high-volume MDU rollouts in South London? As a Fibre Splicer, you will be responsible for running and terminating fibre into multiple-dwelling units (MDUs), with a daily target of 10–20 terminations passed (THP). The role involves splicing into CSPs, routing fibre to each apartment, and ensuring quality of service delivery across residential blocks.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Fibre cable runs into MDUs
- Splicing pigtails into CSPs above each apartment door
- Routing fibre from each distribution point to individual premises
- Volume work with a daily target of 10–20 THP
Experience required:
- Fibre splicing experience in MDUs – essential
- Comfortable working in volume-based fibre deployment environments
- Ability to hit daily productivity targets
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- SA002 – essential
- One of N23, N27, or N28 – essential
- N29 and SA020 – essential
- UKATA Asbestos Awareness – essential
- DBS – essential
- Own ladders, splicer, and fibre termination kit:
- Strippers, cleavers, light source, power meter, fabric scissors
- Standard hand and power tools
