: Estimator – Physical Security Projects/ 55561
Location:
Remote working with 1 day in the office per week
Salary:
£45,000 – £55,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of large, integrated physical security projects. You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates that drive project success and foster long-term client partnerships.
This role involves close collaboration with Design, Project Management, and Procurement teams to ensure project pricing is precise, aligned with client needs, and meets internal quality standards.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage cost estimates for integrated physical security systems
- Prepare tender responses (RFQs/RFPs), including BOMs, cost models, and value engineering
- Lead estimating efforts for complex, competitive bids
- Review drawings/specifications to forecast labour, material, and project costs
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to validate project scope and optimise costs
- Support Procurement in supplier pricing, assumptions and availability
- Align estimates with delivery schedules and milestones
- Maintain and improve estimating tools, databases, and templates
- Identify risks and flag uncertainties in pricing or scope
- Contribute to continuous improvement through bid reviews
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Minimum of 5 years in estimating for security, low-voltage or electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV and network-based security systems
- Confident reading technical drawings and bid documentation
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP systems experience (e.g. SAP, NetSuite) advantageous
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam desirable
- Relevant education in construction, engineering or similar fields
- Certifications from Lenel S2, C-Cure, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, etc. are a bonus
