Job Title: Data Centre Shift Engineer
Location: London
Rate: £23.25 p/hour
Are you looking for a Data Centre Shift Engineer role in London? We’re recruiting for engineers to support a fast-paced data centre environment, assisting with a wide range of hands-on technical duties and customer support tasks.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Responding to customer remote hands requests (hands and eyes)
- Performing reboots and cross connects
- Copper and fibre patching
- Racking and stacking of equipment
- Assisting customer engineers on site
- Escorting visiting engineers as needed
- Delivering agreed cabling services for customers
- Conducting site and rack audits
- Updating internal databases and records
- Taking in deliveries
Experience required:
- Data Centre experience covering the above duties
- Comfortable in customer-facing, technical environments
- Familiarity with patching, audits, and general infrastructure handling
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- No certifications required
- All PPE provided on site
- Company shirts/polo shirts will be supplied
