Job Title: Data Centre Engineer
Location: Greater London
Rate: £165 p/day
Are you a Data Centre Engineer looking for your next opportunity in Greater London? As a Data Centre Engineer, you will be expected to support a wide range of installation, auditing, and troubleshooting tasks across multiple sites. You will be working for a leading contractor providing lifecycle support and managed data centre services across the capital.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Lifecycle support including equipment audits, installs, moves and changes, relocations, decommissioning, disposal, patching, and troubleshooting
- Managed data centre services including migration, capacity management, rollout, and deployment
- Infrastructure tasks including structured cabling, rack deployment, aisle containment, and wireless networking
- Work across Greater London with travel into the city by train or driving as required
- Interview will take place at the client’s offices in Essex
Experience required:
- Previous data centre engineering experience
- Experience of hardware, cabling, and connection auditing
- IT support / break-fix skills across hardware and cabling
- Cable troubleshooting and patching
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Working at Heights and Manual Handling certification
- PPE
