Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: Northampton
Rate: £165 p/day
Are you an experienced Data Cabling Engineer in Northampton with expertise in installing APs? We need you to fit 4x Dual outlets (either Cat6 or Cat6a), test, and label them. You’ll also be responsible for fire-stopping any holes made during the installation process and ensuring they are sealed properly with mastic. There may also be some plastic trunking installation required. The expected output is 4 installations per day.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Install 4x Dual outlets (Cat6 or Cat6a), test, and label
- Fit 4 APs per day
- Fire-stop any holes made during installation, filling them with mastic
- Install plastic trunking as needed
Experience required:
- Experience with Cat6 and Cat6a installations
- Previous experience in AP installs
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS/CSCS (Essential)
- Standard hand tools, termination tool, battery drill capable of drilling through brick
- Mastic gun (site may provide one)
