Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: London
Rate: £165 p/day
Are you looking for a Data Cabling Engineer position in London working on a commercial installation project? As a Data Cabling Engineer, you will be carrying out 1st and 2nd fix Cat6 and Cat6a installations, starting with the first fix phase. This is a hands-on role requiring experience across structured cabling and terminations.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix Cat6/Cat6a installations
- Initial work will focus on first fix
- Terminations and testing on completion of cable pulls
Experience required:
- A minimum of 2 years in a structured cabling role
- Experience with both 1st and 2nd fix
- Familiarity with Cat6 and Cat6a installations
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS or CSCS card – essential
- Standard hand tools including termination tools
- Cable cutters, pen, and testing equipment
- PPE including hi-vis, hard hat, and steel toe-capped boots
