Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: London
Rate: £165 p/day
We are seeking a skilled Data Cabling Engineer to join a team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for terminating Cat6 and Cat6a cables within Comms rooms. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in data cabling and who are familiar with working in a professional, technical environment.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Terminations of Cat6 and Cat6a cables within Comms rooms.
- Ensure proper installation and testing of network cabling systems.
- Adhere to industry standards and regulations to ensure safety and quality.
- Provide updates on work progress and report any issues to the project manager.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Experience required:
- Strong experience with Cat6 and Cat6a cabling terminations in Comms rooms.
- Familiarity with installation practices and cable management.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS/CSCS Card (Essential).
- IPAF, 17th Edition, NVQ Level, City & Guilds (Beneficial).
- DBS (Beneficial).
- Standard Hand tools.
- Termination tools.
- Full PPE (some can be supplied, but candidates must have their own safety boots).
