Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: Kent
Rate: £165 p/day
Are you a Data Cabling Engineer in Kent with experience working on CAT6A copper and cabinet moves? We’re recruiting for a hands-on professional to support cable re-termination and cabinet relocation works on a live site, with some light containment involved.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- CAT6A copper cable handling and re-termination
- Cabinet relocation: disconnect, label, move, and recommission a 6x8 comms cabinet
- Dragging back existing cables and replacing those that can’t be reused
- Cable labelling and panel reworking
- Minor containment installation (tray/basket) in comms rooms
Experience required:
- Strong background in CAT6A installation and re-termination
- Confident relocating comms cabinets and managing cable moves
- Experience working in live commercial or comms room environments
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- No formal certifications required
- Standard hand tools, termination tools
- Full PPE
