Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Rate: £165 p/day
Are you a motivated Data Cabling Engineer? We are seeking a skilled Data Cabling Engineer to install and terminate CAT6 cables at a project in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with CAT6 cabling, ensuring all installations are performed to the highest standards.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Install and terminate CAT6 cabling across various locations
- Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards
- Test the cabling to ensure it meets performance requirements
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain a tidy and safe work area
- Report any issues or delays to the project manager
Experience required:
- Proven experience installing and terminating CAT6 cabling
- Strong understanding of cabling standards and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Knowledge of testing procedures for CAT6 cabling
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- CSCS/ECS (Beneficial)
- Previous data cabling experience required
- Hand tools
- Termination tools
- Full PPE (including high-vis, gloves, safety boots)
