A CAD Technician specializing in fire safety design is responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans for fire protection systems in buildings and infrastructure projects. This includes layouts for fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and evacuation routes.
Responsibilities :
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for fire protection systems.
- Interpret architectural and engineering plans to integrate fire safety features.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant fire safety codes and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and fire safety consultants.
- Revise drawings based on feedback or regulatory changes.
- Maintain accurate records and version control of all drawings.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Understanding of fire safety regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 9999, NFPA codes).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering documents.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
