BIM Manager

Rate: Up to £60,000 basic + Bonus
Technical Resources are partnering with a well-respected Fire and Security business, who have been established for 25 years and are NSI-Gold accredited. They provide expert and bespoke Fire, Security and data solutions design, installation and support.
Responsibilities :
- Developing and implementing company-wide BIM processes, workflows and internal standards documentation
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of BIM trends, standards (e.g. ISO 19650), and technologies and drive their integration into business operations
- Ensuring compliance with BIM contractual obligations including BEPs, data exchange protocols (e.g. IFC, COBie) and project-specific requirements
- Managing the development, maintenance and distribution of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Model Production and Delivery Tables (MPDTs) and other project documentation
- Delivering structured BIM training to both the immediate and wider teams
- Leading and mentoring the BIM/CAD Technicians, supporting their development and resolving technical challenges
- Point of escalation for any BIM/CAD queries and issues
- Collaborating with both internal teams and clients to understand their BIM expectations and ensuring that all project deliverables align with their requirements
- Overseeing BIM budgets, including management of software licences, training investments and hardware resources to ensure cost efficiency
- Conducting regular audits of BIM models to ensure quality, accuracy and adherence to internal standards, client standards and industry standards
- Championing the use of best practices in data management, coordination and model production to ensure consistency and quality across all projects
- Coordinating BIM activities across multiple projects and disciplines, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and other relevant standards
- Overseeing clash detection, model audits, and quality assurance processes
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Previous experience working as a BIM Manager or equivalent position
- In-depth understanding of ISO 19650 and other relevant international/local BIM standards
- Proven ability to develop and manage BIM execution plans, standards, and company workflows
- Experience auditing and maintaining high standards of model quality and data accuracy
- Excellent communication skills including preparing and delivering presentations
- Good knowledge of MS products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and confident using IT software
- Excellent attention to detail, sound problem solving skills and analytical thinking with demonstrable experience of delivering action plans to resolve issues and remedy disputes
- Proficient in BIM-related software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and data exchange formats (IFC, COBie)
- Understanding of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and federated model workflows
Desirable:
- BIM certification or formal qualification
- Previous experience of working within Fire, Security or Data infrastructure industry
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Experience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud
