We are seeking an experienced and proactive Area Supervisor to lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and small works projects across a defined geographic region. The successful candidate will oversee a team of multi-skilled engineers working on Fire Alarm, Warden Call, and Door Entry systems in residential, commercial, and public sector properties.
Responsibilities :

Supervise and coordinate a team of engineers carrying out PPM, reactive repairs, and minor installations

Provide hands-on technical support and mentoring across fire alarm, warden call, and door entry systems

Allocate daily workloads, plan schedules, and manage engineer deployment efficiently

Conduct quality inspections, site audits, and toolbox talks to ensure compliance with safety and workmanship standards

Monitor and improve first-time fix rates and response times across the team

Review and validate engineers' documentation, including service reports and asset registers

Act as the main point of contact for clients, tenants, and property/site managers

Support training and ongoing development of junior or less experienced engineers

Ensure all work complies with RAMS, company policies, and relevant health & safety legislation

Provide regular updates to management on team performance, KPIs, and project progress

Attend client and internal meetings, supporting overall contract delivery and service reviews
Experience and Certifications Required:
-
Background in servicing, maintaining, and installing:
-
Addressable & conventional fire alarm systems (e.g., C-Tec, Advanced, Kentec, Morley)
-
Warden call systems (e.g., Tunstall, Intercall, Tynetec)
-
Door entry/access control systems (e.g., BPT, Videx, Paxton, Comelit)
-
-
Experience in a supervisory, lead engineer, or field team leader role

Strong technical diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
-
Excellent knowledge of relevant standards: BS 5839, BS 8629, BS 7671, etc.

Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and interpret technical documentation

Strong organisational, communication, and client-facing skills
