The main focus of this role is to assist in the design, installation and commissioning of street lighting works within the scope of the South Coast PFI Project, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Undertaking on-site survey works for design of lighting schemes, including the preparation of drawings, schedules and associated works

Dealing with various clients and members of the public regarding street lighting matters

Attending project management meetings

Dealing with administration on all aspects of the lighting design process

The successful candidate will have:

A HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or an equivalent electrical qualification

Significant relevant experience in street lighting and associated electrical design, particularly in the operation of PFI projects

An understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations, IEE Wiring Regulations, CDM Regulations and CAD is desirable

Good written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work independently or as part of a multi task team
